About
In the summer of 2023, Cruz began barging roughly 80,000 tons of subbase and 1,700 tons of sand from Platinum to a stockpile site located about 2 miles downriver from Kongiganak. The marine fleet was made up of 5 barges and 4 tugs. In the summer of 2024, a similar marine fleet was used to haul 78,800 tons of subbase from Platinum to the stockpile site, as well as 9,700 tons of E1. In the summer of 2025, Cruz plans to haul the remaining 20,000 tons of E1 to Kongiganak via barge to finish the remainder of the project.
