Sagavanirktok River Ice Road
Cruz constructed a 1.8-mile ice road and 850-foot-wide ice bridge across the Sagavanirktok River from Drill Site 17 to Worley Yard Ramp, achieving 12-foot ice thickness in key zones and overcoming extreme cold during the 2019-2020 season to complete the project on time and under budget.
Rig Support for the Peregrine Exploration Program
Cruz Construction supported Emerald House's Peregrine Exploration Program by constructing 98 miles of snow trail, 10 miles of ice road, a 2,000-foot ice runway, and drilling ice pads, while providing remote camp facilities, overland transport of drill rig components, and 24-hour drilling and pad logistics support.
Tesoro Refinery Turnaround
Provided crane and heavy haul services for Tesoro at their Kenai refinery. They shut their facility to perform large scale maintenance and upgrades to the existing processing units. Cruz had a total of six cranes onsite for support, which included five 65-75 ton rough terrain cranes and one 230 ton lattice crawler.
KPL Blocked Crude Pile Installation
Installed 70 various diameter (8-12”) piling at Marathon’s KPL facility in Kenai. The piling were driven for foundations so Marathon could install cable trays, flow meters, and control valves which were all a part of the VSM for their tank farms.
