Northern Region Deep Culverts – Stage 1
This project involved replacing deep culverts on the both the Parks Highway and Richardson Highway, Alaska’s busiest highways. These pipes each had unique challenges regarding their size and depth. Cruz completed this project during the summer of 2013 ahead of schedule and under budget.
Grayling Airport
The Grayling Airport Improvements project consisted of replacing the existing 2,800 linear foot runway with a new 4,600 linear foot runway in the Yukon River village of Grayling, AK. This work includes construction of the 4,600’ by 150’ runway, the 325’ by 120’ taxiway, the 350’ by 450’ parking apron, the 1150’ by 24’ access road, and the new lighting system.
Palmer Airport
The Palmer Municipal Airport Project was a single season runway rehabilitation project in Palmer, Alaska This project included 66,970 cubic yards of excavation, 77,200 tons of borrow, 12,000 tons of leveling course, 14,000 square yards of recycled asphalt material, 32,890 square yards of removal of existing pavement, and 6,320 tons of asphalt concrete.
